Hawkins Shows Continued Progress in Double-Duty Night at Springfield Raceway

SPRINGFIELD, MO. (April 27, 2026) — Rising driver Bronson Hawkins continued to build valuable seat time and momentum this past weekend at Springfield Raceway, competing in both the Pure Stock and Legend Car divisions for Hawkins Racing.

Taking on double duty, Hawkins showed steady improvement—especially in his limited experience behind the wheel of a Pure Stock machine. In just his third start in the division, Hawkins impressed early by finishing second in his heat race before driving to a strong fourth-place finish in the feature.

The outing marked another step forward as Hawkins continues adapting to the heavier, full-bodied Pure Stock car, gaining critical experience with each lap.

In Legend Car competition, Hawkins added more track time to his night, finishing fourth in his heat race and 12th in the feature. While the results didn’t fully reflect the team’s expectations, the additional laps provided valuable data and continued development for the young driver.

“Every time we hit the track, we’re learning something new,” Hawkins said. “The Pure Stock is still new to me, but we’re getting better each race. I’m really thankful for my team and everyone who helps make this possible.”

Hawkins Racing continues to focus on long-term growth, using nights like this to build consistency across multiple divisions—an approach that is already showing signs of progress.

The team also recognizes the continued support of NWA Builders, whose partnership plays a key role in Hawkins’ development both on and off the track.

Hawkins will return to action on May 2nd at Springfield Raceway, looking to build on the gains made and continue his climb forward.
